A huge thank you to everyone who joined us in the sunshine this morning for our St Barnabas community litter pick, which started at Leighton Brook Park on Frank Webb Avenue.
It was fantastic to see such a strong turnout from across the community. Alongside our regular volunteers, we were delighted to welcome many new faces, as well as fellow members of Crewe Clean Team and families from Wilson House Scouts. It was especially lovely to see more young people getting involved and enjoying helping to make a difference in their local area. Their energy and enthusiasm really made the morning even more special.
Thanks to everyone’s efforts, over 20 bags of litter were collected from around the park and the surrounding streets. Our community spaces look fantastic now, and it is a wonderful reminder of how important it is to look after the areas where we live, work, and play. Keeping our parks and streets clean helps everyone enjoy them safely and makes a real difference to the environment and to community pride.
If you’re interested in becoming a regular litter picker and would like to get involved, please let me know. I can provide you with free equipment to get started, and it’s a great way to make a visible impact while meeting other local people who care about our community. You can also join our St Barnabas litter picking group, and of course Crewe Clean Team.
Thank you again to everyone who gave up their time this morning. The support from our community was brilliant, and everyone who took part should be really proud of what we achieved together. 🌞🧹🌿
