Wishing everyone in St Barnabas a very Happy Easter.
Over the Easter period, it was fantastic to see Leighton Brook Park come alive with activity, thanks to the brilliant sessions run by Wishing Well. These sessions brought together young people from across the community, offering a safe, fun, and engaging environment during the school holidays.
A huge thank you goes to Wishing Well for organising and delivering these sessions, alongside the valued support of Snap Fitness and PSCO Penny from Crewe Police. Their combined efforts helped make the events such a success.
We are also incredibly grateful to everyone who donated Easter eggs for local young people. Your generosity ensured that so many children could enjoy a special treat over the holiday. A special mention goes to Morrisons Daily on Badger Avenue for their contribution.
I had the pleasure of attending the session on Monday, and it was wonderful to see such a strong turnout. The atmosphere was positive and welcoming, with young people clearly enjoying themselves and making the most of the activities on offer. In total, 438 young people from our community benefited from the sessions this Easter, which is a fantastic achievement.
Thank you to everyone involved in making this happen. It truly shows what can be achieved when the community comes together.
