Councillor James Pratt – Crewe, St Barnabas

Alley Gates in Crewe St Barnabas

Crewe St Barnabas has alley gates in several locations which are designed to reduce crime and disorder and prevent anti social behaviour including fly tipping.
These gates restrict the public right of way using Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPO)

Access can be granted to residents requiring access as well as utility companies and emergency services.
If you are a resident adjoining or adjacent to an alley gate, you will need a key to access the gate.

Don’t have a key? Alley Gate Keys

Residents can purchase a key at the Library inside Crewe Lifestyle Centre, or contact Crewe Library on 01270 375295 or email crewe.library@cheshireeast.gov.uk

Alley gate not locking?  Alley Gate Repairs

To request a repair to an alley gate you can call 0300 123 5011 (option 3).

You can also use the online form to request an alley gate repair

Issues with Fly tipping?

If you see fly tipping in any alleyway or near the alley gates, please call 0300 123 5011 to report it, or you can report online.

Please keep the alleyways clear from obstructions, and remember to close and lock the gate after use.

The Cheshire East council web site gives further information on alley gates and Public Spaces Protection Orders
