Crewe Armed Forces Weekend 2025 Set to Thrill with Two Days of Free Family Fun!

Posted on 5 June 2025

I’m really glad to be supporting this fantastic local event. It’s a brilliant opportunity for families and residents to come together, honour our Armed Forces, and enjoy a memorable weekend right here in Crewe.

Crewe is set to come alive with patriotic pride and community spirit as it hosts the Crewe Armed Forces Weekend – a free, action-packed two-day event celebrating Her Majesty’s Armed Forces. Organised by Crewe Armed Forces Day CIC in partnership with Cheshire East Council and local veteran organisations, this much-loved annual event promises something for all ages.

📅 Date & Time:
The event takes place over two full days, opening at 10am on both Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th June 2025. With a packed programme of entertainment, displays, and activities, it’s a weekend not to be missed.

10am – 4pm both days

📍 Location:
Queens Park, Victoria Avenue, Crewe, Cheshire CW2 7SE

🎖 What to Expect:
Visitors can look forward to:

  • A striking collection of military vehicles from all eras

  • Engaging displays, exhibitions, memorabilia, and information stalls

  • A host of employers offering job opportunities, including military careers

  • The full Stanworths Funfair with rides and attractions for all ages

  • Helicopter viewing, electric children’s cars, and glitter tattoos

  • Face painting, live singing from the 1950s and beyond, and dog shows

  • Authentic re-enactments and over 40 stalls selling crafts, gifts, and food

  • A range of catering outlets with something for everyone

Organisers have also applied for the full BBMF flypast, which – if approved – will be a highlight of the weekend’s festivities.

With over 30,000 attendees in each of the past two years, the Armed Forces Weekend has become a major annual attraction for the town and beyond.

💼 Get Involved:

  • Stall applications are now open – and among the most affordable locally

  • Owners of military vehicles are warmly invited to take part – it’s completely free to display

  • Please contact richard.stephenson-evans@cheshireeast.gov.uk

FREE ENTRY – EVERYONE WELCOME

Come and show your support, enjoy the festivities, and take part in one of Crewe’s most vibrant and inclusive events of the year.
