Cheshire East Council has launched a new online tool called traCE, which residents can use to report issues like potholes, fly-tipping, overgrown hedges, broken streetlights and more.
If you’ve used Fix My Street in the past, this new system will now take its place.
You can access traCE on your phone, tablet or computer at any time, and it lets you:
-
Drop a pin on a map to report a problem
-
Check the progress of your report
-
Subscribe to updates on existing reports so you’re kept in the loop
If someone’s already reported the same issue, you can still follow it without having to submit a new one.
This tool is available to everyone across Cheshire East – including here in Crewe and specifically in St Barnabas ward. It should make it easier for residents to let the council know when something needs attention, and for teams to respond based on what’s already been reported.
You can try out the new system here:

For anything urgent or dangerous (like a tree blocking a road or a major flooding issue), it’s still best to call the council directly on 0300 123 5020 – or 0300 123 5025 if it’s outside normal working hours.
The new traCE system is built in-house, which means the council has more control over how it works and how issues are handled. Hopefully our feedback will allow the system to improve over time.
Let me know how you get on using it – I’m keen to hear your experiences so I can feed them back.
