Crewe Christmas Lights Switch On Saturday 25th November

Crewe Town Council is pleased to announce that a packed programme of fantastic FREE activities will be on offer at the Crewe Christmas Lights Switch On event on Saturday 25th November 2023!

Families can browse the festive Market for perfect presents and tasty treats, enjoy amazing live performances and have some fun with our winter-themed walkabout acts! Little ones can send letters to Father Christmas at Crewe Library and enjoy mini funfair rides on Market Square.

Families can browse the festive Market for perfect presents and tasty treats, enjoy amazing live performances and have some fun with our winter-themed walkabout acts! Little ones can send letters to Father Christmas at Crewe Library and enjoy mini funfair rides on Market Square.

Live music, dance and theatre performance will take place from 12 noon until 5pm on the main stage on Memorial Square (compered by the CAT Radio).
Additional festive entertainment will take place beside the Christmas Tree on Market Square with musical performances from Crewe Brass Band, the Wirral Pipe Band, local choirs and more!

Panto star and X Factor winner Matt Terry will perform his new single on the main stage and he will be joined at the event by fellow pantomime star Malcolm Lord. The Christmas community Lantern Parade will process from the Market Sheds at Lyceum Square to Memorial Square in time for the countdown to the Lights Switch On with Father Christmas and the Crewe Lyceum pantomime cast!

The festive Christmas Market will be sited along Market Street, Earle Street and Market Square. The full list of 25 stallholders will be available on our Christmas event webpage shortly, attendees can expect amazing food and drink and unique gift ideas for loved ones this Christmas. Visitors can also explore the community stalls where they can take part in activities and even pick up their very own mini Christmas tree!
