Community Clean-Up at Leighton Brook Park – Monday 19th May at 2pm

Posted on 10 May 2025

🌿 Community Clean-Up at Leighton Brook Park – Monday 19th May at 2pm 🌿

I’d like to invite residents to join me for a community clean-up at Leighton Brook Park on Monday 19th May at 2pm. This is a great opportunity to come together as a community and help take care of one of our valued green spaces here in Crewe.

The focus of the clean-up will be the brook itself, along with the surrounding park area. Over time, bits of litter and debris can collect in and around the water, and a bit of attention will go a long way in improving the look and feel of the area for everyone who uses it – whether that’s families, dog walkers, or local wildlife.

These sorts of events are not only good for the environment, but they’re also a chance to meet neighbours, enjoy some fresh air, and take pride in our local surroundings. Whether you’ve taken part in a community clean-up before or it’s your first time, everyone is welcome.

🗑️ Pickers and bags will be provided, but feel free to bring your own gloves or equipment if you prefer. A bottle of water and sturdy footwear are also recommended, especially if you’re planning to help near the brook itself.

📍 Where? By the brook, near the playground in Leighton Brook Park (Frank Webb Avenue)
🕑 When? From 2pm on Monday 19th May

Even if you can only spare half an hour, your support will be hugely appreciated. Every little bit helps, and together we can make a real difference to the appearance and condition of our shared spaces.

Thank you in advance to everyone who comes along – I’m looking forward to seeing you there and working together to keep Leighton Brook Park clean, green, and inviting.
