Reports to: Head of Eat Well
Location: The Wishing Well, Jubilee House, Crewe. The Weaver Bistro Northwich. Deliveries across south/mid Cheshire
Job Purpose: To assist the Catering teams with the production of a high-quality catering service to meet the needs of the organisation within set guidelines whilst complying with health and hygiene regulations.
Employment Terms: Flexible Contract 16 hours a week. Must be available to work some weekends and school holidays.
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Key Responsibilities or Duties:
- Under the direction of the Catering Manager undertake preparation of food and beverages to agreed standards.
- Ensuring customer experience is of a high standard.
- Complete daily checking and recording of refrigerator temperatures.
- Complete checking off of orders, rotating and putting away of stocks.
- Check and maintain refrigerator and kitchen stock levels and disposal of out-of-date
- Assisting with all catering functions as agreed with the Catering Manager.
- Assist and/or lead on the preparation and cooking of set or chosen menu items.
- Cleaning of all cutlery, crockery and other equipment used for catering purposes using dishwashing aids and maintaining stock levels in relevant areas.
- Cleaning of kitchen area to agreed policies and standards to reach/exceed all food hygiene and health and safety standards, recording on cleaning schedules as cleaning tasks are completed
- Gather customer and colleague feedback to help inform menu options.
- Work with the team to devise shopping lists.
- Complete shopping tasks as and when required as part of an efficient team.
- Delivery of catering into the local community and set up
Special Features of the Role:
Full UK Driver’s Licence is required for this position.
Availability to work weekends and school holidays is required for this position. An Enhanced DBS Check is required for this position (this can be carried out by The Wishing Well)
Food Hygiene Level2 award is required for this position (this can be completed at The Wishing Well)
Personal Development:
