Wilson House Beavers Lend a Hand Ahead of the Crewe Krazy Races

Posted on 22 May 2025

I had the pleasure of joining the wonderful Wilson House Beavers group for a community clean-up on Brooklands, just off Badger Avenue. With the Crewe Krazy Races just around the corner, it was the perfect time to roll up our sleeves and make sure the area is looking its best ahead of Sunday’s big event.

The Beavers were absolutely brilliant – full of energy, enthusiasm, and a real sense of pride in their town. In the warm evening sunshine, they got stuck in with litter pickers and bin bags, making sure Brooklands Park was spotless. It was lovely to see the young people having fun while giving back to the community, and it’s safe to say they made a real difference.

A special thank you goes to Crewe Town Council, who recently provided the Beavers and Scouts with some fantastic new equipment. These resources will not only help with projects like this, but also enhance their regular sessions and outdoor trips. It’s great to see local organisations supporting youth groups and encouraging young people to get involved in their community.

If you haven’t already marked it in your diary, make sure you don’t miss the Crewe Krazy Races this Sunday, 25th May 2025. The event will take place from 10.45am onwards and the route runs along Ford Lane, Broad Street, and Brooklands. With homemade carts, wild costumes, and plenty of fun for all the family, it’s set to be a fantastic day.

Huge thanks again to the Wilson House Beavers for their hard work – you’ve made Crewe proud!
