Crewe Krazy Races Returns: A Day of Wacky Fun and Community Spirit

Crewe is once again gearing up for a day of high-speed hilarity and family fun as the Krazy Races Soapbox Derby returns on Sunday, 25th May 2025. Taking place at Brooklands Park (off Badger Avenue), with the exciting soapbox racing track set up along Ford Lane, this event will see thousands gather to cheer on a parade of imaginative, gravity-powered soapbox karts.

A Full Day of Action and Amusement

The action kicks off at 10:45am with an opening procession that sets the tone for a fun-filled day. Dozens of teams will then take to the track in their homemade creations, all competing for glory in a series of races and quirky challenges. Prizes will be awarded for Fastest Kart, Best Design and Best Dressed Team, among others. The excitement will build to a dramatic finale featuring the top 10 fastest teams battling it out for the ultimate title.

The event also features a buzzing event village with everything from local food stalls and street performers to live music and a giant screen—ideal for relaxing with a picnic while keeping up with the action.

Event Schedule

  • 10:45 – Official Event Opening Procession

  • 11:00 – Morning Racing

  • 13:00 – Lunch Break

  • 14:00 – Afternoon Racing

  • 15:30 – Third Run

  • 16:00 – Final Race for the Top 10 Fastest

  • 16:30 – Prize Giving & Awards

  • 17:00 – Event Closes

Celebrating Community and Charity

The Krazy Races isn’t just about speed and silliness—it has a serious side too. Over the past five years, the event has raised over £250,000 for good causes, with a strong focus on supporting local charities. This year’s event is no different, with community spirit and fundraising at its heart. Local businesses and sponsors are getting involved to help make the day a huge success.

Get Involved

Whether you’re an adrenaline junkie with a knack for kart-building, a local business looking to support a great cause, or just in search of a brilliant day out with the family, Crewe Krazy Races has something for everyone.

So mark your calendars, gather your friends and family, and head to Brooklands Park, Crewe, with the action-packed track on Ford Lane, for a truly unforgettable day of krazy fun!
