Tackling Fly-Tipping in St Barnabas: Your Local Councillor’s Commitment to Clean Streets

In recent months, one of the most concerning issues facing the St Barnabas area of Crewe has been the effects of fly-tipping. Whether it’s household waste, furniture, or bags of unwanted items left by the side of the road, fly-tipping has become a serious eyesore for our community and an environmental hazard we cannot ignore.

As your local councillor, I’m committed to addressing this issue head-on and ensuring that St Barnabas remains a clean, safe, and welcoming place for all of us. But I can’t do it alone – I need your help. Together, we can make a real difference and send a strong message that fly-tipping has no place in our neighbourhood.

Reporting Made Easy with FixMyStreet

One of the most effective ways to tackle fly-tipping is to report it as soon as you see it. Thankfully, there’s an easy and efficient way to do this – the FixMyStreet app. This user-friendly tool allows you to quickly report fly-tipping incidents in our area, as well as other environmental issues such as potholes, broken streetlights, and more.

The process is simple:

  1. Download the app: FixMyStreet is available on both Android and iOS.
  2. Snap a photo: When you see fly-tipping, take a quick photo of the problem.
  3. Submit a report: The app sends your report directly to the local council for action, helping us respond to the issue more swiftly.

You can also visit the FixMyStreet website directly: FixMyStreet to report fly-tipping and other problems in the St Barnabas area.

Why Report Fly-Tipping?

Reporting fly-tipping is crucial for a number of reasons. Not only does it allow the council to address the problem quickly, but it also sends a message to those responsible for the illegal dumping that their actions will not be tolerated.

By using tools like FixMyStreet, we can help create cleaner streets and reduce the negative impact on the environment. Fly-tipping can attract pests, cause pollution, and even damage the local wildlife. But if we work together, we can keep St Barnabas looking its best and make our neighbourhood a place we are all proud to call home.

More Ways to Help

If you’re looking for additional ways to get involved, head over to the my “report an issue” page : www.crewestbarnabas.org.uk/report. There, you’ll find more resources for reporting issues and keeping our streets free from litter and illegal dumping. Together, we can build a cleaner, healthier St Barnabas!

Let’s Make a Change – Together!

Fly-tipping isn’t just an eyesore; it’s a shared problem that requires a collective solution. By reporting incidents, staying vigilant, and spreading the word about the tools available to us, we can all play a part in keeping St Barnabas clean.

Let’s stand together to ensure that fly-tipping doesn’t take over our streets. The more reports we make, the quicker the council can act.

Join me in the fight against fly-tipping, and let’s make St Barnabas a place that everyone can be proud of. Together, we can make a real difference!
